alot of people on the internet claim that stripping artificial black from your hair turns it into a patchy, brassy, orangy mess........ i've tried looking up images to see what it's like if i get my hair stripped but i can't find any...does anyone have any pictures of stripped hair?

black hair color is the hardest to remove sometimes takin two or more applications to remove the "patchyness" that you mentioned but you wouldnt want to leave it that state. you will still need to color it to get it to livable tone. consider something in the red family. it will be the easiest to achieve. dont get any ideas of tring to go blonde on the first go around. consider your hairs condition. can it take the proceedure? seek the help of a professional. look in the yellow pages at salons that say they do corrective haircolor. this type of color work can be expensive. dont be shocked if you get $200.or more price tag for this.

It can go that way, but ive never taken pictures of mine. Mine didnt go super patchy, it just goes a funny orange brassy colour like a blonde gone bad, but if you are intending to put another colour over the top it should matter too much. If its gone really patchy on other people its probably because they havent applied the bleach evenly!! Go to your hairdresser to strip it back or use a product call myhd colour remover. If you are in oz you get it from priceline. Its 20 bucks and does and excellent job and is much gentler on the hair than bleach. I put dark browns an purples in my hair and the myhd takes it back to my blonde really easily. The i just get some foils put in to even out the tone, cus i dont like being all one coloured blonde. Noone will put pictures up of bad hair cus they are too embarrassed for anyone to see it!!

i had my hair colour stripped in the salon as i was wanting to go from black to blonde, once it is first stripped, the colour is orangey coppery red. I then had foils to get my hair to a natural colour

ive had my black hair stripped before. it will turn a copper-red colour. you just have to dye it down :)
