My sister is a freshman in highschool this year. Homecoming is in 2 weeks. Her hair is a little longer than shoulder length. She has a halter dress and would prefer if her hair was up. Any ideas? Pictures Please!!!

if she wants to wear it up a ponytail is always classic (but not like a ponytail that you wear for gym)

she can put it in a high ponytail: first blow it out, then you use the back of comb to pull about a quarter inch thick section of hair in front of your eyes. this strip of hair should be from one ear to the other (so basically following the hair line) and about 1/4 inch thick or a little thinner. you pull it in front of you eyes and then tease a 1/2 inch thick section of hair from behind it and then flip it in front of your face. repeat but take a thin (in thickness) bit of hair to seperate the teased parts. do about three teased part and then put it all back over your head and put it in a high ponytail. make sure that the first peice you throw over your eyes lays flat against the teased parts. then use bobby pins to hold the ponytail up so the bouffant doesnt sink.

you can also do a side ponytail with a side part so you almost fake having side bangs, unless she has them then this is really easy. you just tease the hair at base of where you clasp the ponytail and have a few peices loose so it looks natural
