i'd say add some side swept bangs to give it a little edge without the hassle, side swepts are almost cute on everybody

If you're looking for a subtle change: thin highlights in hair, get long layers.

Moderate change: lighten hair, hair should be cut about 2-3 inches underneath chin.

Dramatic change: darken hair (dark blonde, don't go too dark or your face will look washed out) get an inverted bob.
